I'm trying to get my 6 machines in tip top performance shape for an art piece. Perhaps some dealers (pref in the USA) can help? These are listed in priority, more or less.
For my mid-period HMV 101 (circa 1927):
1) a brass No.4 Soundbox. and if gaskets need replacing....
2) standard rubber gasket material (for my purposes, the "special red" stuff is not preferable)
For my 1931 HMV 102:
3) The brakepiece clip on the tonearm elbow that stops the "forearm" of tonearm from flipping over, and its two screws
4) a lock washer for turntable
5) one "locking post" to keep the record holder from spinning
6) one screw for the front edge of motherboard
7a) a handle (read on...)
For my 1939 HMV 102:
7b) another handle (2 total)
8) a thumbscrew for a 5B soundbox (I'm using one for a #16...seems loose)
9) a screw for the rear edge of motherboard
For my 1950 HMV 94a:
10) 1 of the 4 black "feet" on the bottom (probably used on the 97 and other models, too)
For a Brunswick Ultona #217 cabinet:
11) 1 brass screw for the base of the tonearm, and any replacement parts for the governor assembly (I'll get more specific if one actually has such materials).
For a Victrola 2-65 (circa 1930):
12) the round rubber stopper for the needle,
13) a handle
14) thumbscrew for orthophonic soundbox (I suspect mine is wrong)
And....for general use:
15) a package of commercially-milled cactus needles
16) Packages of loud, medium and soft steel needles. (or advice on best places to buy them in USA)
Thanks. I'll look around this site more, too, but this is turning out to be very research intensive.
