successful auctions, high prices and many many many bids seem typical with this seller, even while the same items (other similar machines) linger on ebay at far lower prices almost indefinitely without a bid. you can draw your own conclusions.

Looks like a duck..... yes, I know, I have seen this sellers auctions before.

I see one bidder was responsible for 84 bids. Whatever!

This seller always has superb photographs and extensive, appealing descriptions that surpass any others that I have seen. I've said before, I should hire this fellow to list my machines when the time comes!

I bought an Edison Home Red Banner from this seller quite a while back - it is museum quality but it was big bucks! His packaging job is unreal too, no chance at all of any damage even if using the dreaded big brown truck!

I know some people won't like this but he gets some cohorts to up the bid for his items. I know by looking that he sells nice items but he does get some help with the bids.

Has to be some help there. No one pays that much for a Standard, even if its mint. Maybe if it was in the original shipping crate!

It's actually easy to catch that by watching his phonograph and radio sales and look to see if the same bidder / bidders pop up on every listing he places on EBay over and over again. Then I will agree with you that he has people bidding items up. It's all way too common on EBay to have friends or relatives bid up your items. If one of them actually wins the item in question, then the seller just marks the sale as "payment received" and the "friend" just marks the sale as "payment sent". There's no rule forcing someone to pay with Paypal. It's all too common folks, and EBay can't control it, or can they? Just watch his listings and his bidders, just for the heck of it, when you're really bored, hah hah!

This can sometimes run into real money for the seller now since Ebay fees are about 10%, the seller would still be on the hook for that. $100 is not chicken feed on that Standard.
