Informal homemade disc sleeves and storage?

Newbie, here. I found a lot of 35 78's at a yard sale over the week-end, some pretty rough, held on a crumbling coated wire file thingie, no sleeves.

I am looking for ideas on how to make a homemade informal storage holder, and/or a sleeve system. Suggestions?

I noted an earlier mention of a thick styrofoam box elsewhere on the forum, but it is unclear what would make a good divider material.

BTW, the disc selection isn't much, except a few Dinah Shore, Bing Cosby, King Cole Trio, and my favorite, Mary Ford and Les Paul (apprentice guitar player here). This is better than the boatload of foxtrots I have from my in-laws...!

This doesn't address the "homemade" part of your question, but poke around this site: http://www.bagsunlimited.com/c-57-audio.aspx

They have sleeves and storage boxes in various sizes to suit just about any medium, and their stuff is high quality.

Excellent, Henry, thanks.

I even found some other unrelated items I may need there..!

so far as storage, once you've got the sleeves, you might try this shelving system from ikea...

they have a number of variations, size-wise. a couple phonograph people recommended it, so I bought one - it's relatively cheap and very sold. plus, you can even get wheels for it.

@poodlesrule; It is best to store records on their edge, rather than flat. If you have only 35 records, you could buy a plastic crate at Walmart for a few bucks. They measure 12" wide, 6" deep, and 12" high. You can find paper sleeves on eBay.
