Lately, there have been quite a few nasty posts on the Forum. It's really easy to slip into negative and personal comments because the internet is somewhat anonymous. Negative posts have not been typical on our Forum and it's time for them to stop. Members should not post anything that they wouldn't say face to face with another member. Jerry Blais

I agree. We are all here to discuss something we enjoy. There's no reason to be nasty or cut-throat on a phonograph forum.

That's what auctions are for

What we as members should try and do is.... avoid comments in the "Yankee Trader" section. You are supposed to PM those that are buying or selling. If a discussion on something is desired then take it to the "Machines" section. That how I see it.

AMEN BROTHER!

I don't know quite what has come over folks lately, but I've been noticing a good deal more negativity in a number of venues of recent weeks. Perhaps it his is due to the short days, and the depressive effects of so little daylight. All that I can say is that I'm glas that I don't live in Finland just now.

I'd hate to see some of the recent comments in YT sent to a forum member in a PM, for I fear that without the regulatory effect of exposure in a public forum there's no telling how rough some folks will get.

One would think that we should all remember that ' most everyone has SOMETHING useful to contribute if the conditions are salutary.

Some of us may from time to time post something someone else doesn't like, finds O/T, etc. Just ignore it.

We're all here for the same reason: love of the hobby (and the machines!) and a delight in trading information.

I came here from another forum which had grown to toxic that I had to leave it. This has not been the rule here, and let's keep it that way!

Especially those nasty TV auctions.

Be grateful this hasn't descended to /b/ levels yet (the [storm drain] of the internet. I'd recommend not to go looking for it). If I had to suggest a code of rules for this place, I'd adopt a crudely named code that has never failed me. If you didn't want to read that whole thing, just remember the Golden Rule and apply it both in real life and on the internet.
