Never be embarrassed again by that horrid old toilet when friends come over to listen to the Victrola. This ad amused me, proving once again that I have the sense of humour of a 10 year old.

Great ad! But remember: Only the flush will become noiseless.

I've always wanted a device that would eliminate my troubles in toilet planning! Okay - how many of us 10 year-olds are there?
I especially enjoyed clicking on the image and enlarging it, and seeing the little girl's confident expression. Maybe the talking machine was loud enough to "drown" (sorry!) the sound of the toilet, but last night's asparagus may ruin the party unless that door is quickly closed!
Okay - back to adulthood...

I had forgotten that they used to call bathrooms 'water closets.' I think I'm going to start using that.
The toilet is more advanced then I would expect for 1913. I'd imagine lots of folks still having the mounted box and string contraptions.

Really!? Toilet humour on the Talking Machine Forum? Well now, being 55 going on 10 I'm going to print that ad on parchment and hang it up in my phono room!
I also enjoy sarcasm.

I guess "Victroilet" didn't test well with the marketing department.

"Victroilet". A radical concept Brad. I wonder where the platter would go? But more important would be safe needle storage!

I wonder how many Henry Burr records you could stuff down that thing.
