The B side of Joe Venuti's orchestra's 'Wasting my love on you' was this nearly-all-star ensemble's performance of 'Deep down south'.

Wes Vaughan is the singer; the soloists who follow the vocal are Jimmy Dorsey, clarinet; Bix, cornet; Benny Goodman, clarinet (bridge), then Bix and everyone bring it home. Gene Krupa is on drums.

From Victor 23018; matrix BVE.63630-2, recorded 8th September 1930.

The arrangement is quite advanced for its time, very nice!

Thanks for posting this. A really nice tune to start off my Saturday night. I'm going to listen to it again after a glass of wine. I'm sure it will be even much better :D
