Here are the instructions for retrofitting the volume control onto A250s that did not come with it.

I especially like this paragraph on page 5:

"With a saw and chisel, remove the small amount of wood stock from the wooden frame as indicated by the measurements given in the figure. Adhere closely to the measurements to obtain the correct results."

I guess I'm just a bit shocked that they'd tell you to go after that brand new $250 dollar beauty with a saw and chisel!

Thanks!. Mine has this same control and the frame notch looks like it was cut with a chisel.

Glad to have this one too in addition to the A250 operating booklet you kindly provided, as it will help with reassembly and adjustment of the A250 I am currently working on. Mine had the mute ball missing and had to get a replacement.

Anybody notice anything curious about the grille in the picture on page 3--especially considering that this is a factory photograph?

Also, as an aside, that sure looks like a then just going on the market A250 to Mr. Edison’s right (viewers left) on the front cover of the new issue of “In The Grove.”
