Ebay's most overpriced item, add what you find

Post by saxymojo »

Hi All

I wonder if this would be worth more if he tied it to the back of a car and dragged it around the block a few times!

Regards Marcel

Marcel, I find things everyday that are ridiculously overpriced-

such as a half full tin of Decca rusty soft tone needles - $122

a late 1950s HMV radiogram, that has been on ebay for years and years at $450

and my all time favourite - another HMV radiogram - mid 1970s listed as 'perfect', but actually described as needing TLC (ie the cabinet is stuffed) when you read the description for the bargain basement price of only $3000.

I am currently looking for an HMV Model 660 radio - one just went unsold in Victoria for $500. They wonder why they don't get any bids!

Hi Recordo

I have seen this one on ebay for quite a few years now, the seller just keeps listing it, what a waste of money. Maybe I should sell him a couple of dozen in good condition, I could retire on that!
