Emailed the seller to ask for pictures of the back and the motor and if
its in good working order. Response: Yes it works good. (No pics)
The fact that it came from Peru suggests its a repro cabinet as well.
Reminds me of the Monte Python Holy Grail movie: "RUN AWAY.... RUN AWAY!!"

Totally cobbled. Wrong horn, wrong tone arm assembly, wrong reproducer, wrong brake and turntable. Yes, I think the cabinet's a reproduction too.
It is indeed a "rare combination" as noted in the description!

Actually, the case is very original. As for the rest.....all added at a later date. Many Victor machines were sold in Mexico and all the way down to South America. In fact Victor was still selling horn machines down there when you could not give them away up here. It was a great market for Victor to unload all their left over stock.
Buying and seeing tons of machines over the 25 years I have searched in Mexico......this machine looks like a typical "put together".

I don't care where it's from the cabinet & the horn are probably worth a couple grand as long as there's not a bunch of extra holes in it.

They sent me some pictures, it has a 4 spring victrola motor,re-drilled case for crank and motor mountings and the brake has been replaced and re-drilled,looks like a victor II back bracket and elbow, other than that, not bad , Bob

I think it would be safe to say the crank does not look original either.

Wow, glad I did not bother bidding. I have been looking for a fixer Vic 6
but the fact that it is missing everything else makes it an expensive
project. That horn was probably worth near $1000 though so I guess its
not too out of line parts-wise.
