I'm not sure if I am putting this in the right spot, but.....

Hello there, my name is Benedetta. I am a collector of all things with a voice! I started out collecting talking dolls and and toys, then I branched out to all types of talking, singing machines. Sound recoriding and old mechanisms have always fascinated me. Yes I am a female collector, I feel like the only one.....

I also repair and restore talking machines, as said earlier I started withbtoys. If you have any talking toy voiceboxes that need repair, message me and I will help you fix it yourself.

You'll find at least two other female collectors on this board ("3Victrolas" and "Tinkerbell"), although they haven't been posting much lately - no doubt due to having more normal lives than we men do...

Welcome to the board. There are a few of us girls on here. I too am interested in all kinds of mechanical music : phonographs, music boxes, organettes and player pianos. Everyone has been very helpful here.
