It's been a while since I posted any of my Youtube videos here, but this is one of outstanding jazz interest. With a 19 year old Benny Goodman on clarinet AND alto saxophone, a 23 year old Jack Teagarden, a 21 year old Jimmy McPartland and a 21 year old Ben Pollack - all in the early stages of their various careers. This band just comes together so well!

Just goes to show you that you can find some great discs on eBay! I actually got up at 8am, severely hungover after going out the night before and getting in at 2:30...just to bid on this record. The lengths I go to...

Great stuff, Jonathan. Pollack was born in '03, so he would have been 25, though, right? Still a spring chicken to me...

I just love that tune, hot and smooth at the same time. Interestingly it's a different take than the one I have under the pseudonym of "The Lumberjacks" on Romeo and Cameo.

And here's the latest version from two weeks ago on my request, as far as I recall played live for the first time from the original sheet music arrangement:

Yes, the Romeo and Cameo releases were alternate takes. The Perfect one seems to be the rarer of the two.

And I love that posting! Vince does a wonderful job :)
