How to get that base off the tone arm??

I want to spray the black base and replate the tone arm. Im trying to remove the base BUT it has 3 tiny screws which are very stubborn...I dont want to risk stripping them...is that the only way to slip this off??

Use PB blaster and squirt on the screws. Let it sit for a while until the oil penetrates the threads. Don't force the screws because you may ruin them. You may have to do this procedure a few times. You can get PB blaster at an auto parts store. Good luck.
