I am new to your Forum, Thanks to one of your members flashpanblue for his time and knowledge I was able to purchase this Opera from a gentleman that had it in his family since new in 1912.It is in great original condition with a dark patina around the bed plate and edges, I am scared to clean it. Have a look,

The lower mainland. Berliner and very early machines are my main interest. In fact one of my earliest machines came from around your area. You will find many Edison buffs on here. You will also find many tips on cleaning, oiling and over all care of your new machine under our "tips & tech" section of the forum. Many wonderful and helpful members on here as you have clearly discovered already.

Nice looking machine.

I live just down the road from you between Falkland and Vernon.

I wonder how many enthusiasts live within driving area. Enough for a show?

Thanks, it is nice to see a few people from my area into collecting. I met a collector from Prince George last year when I sold a Credenza to him. I am hoping to learn more about the early cylinders machines and the history that goes with them. It would be nice to meet some of the local collectors. Cheers, Jeff.
