Brunswick walnut?

Here's some pictures of the Brunswick machine I've been working on. I've cleaned the cabinet but haven't waxed it yet.(that's next) Replaced the broken pot metal tonearm and it plays well although I'm sure it would benefit from a reproducer rebuild. There was some question as whether it is walnut. What do you think?

Thank you. I had to use the flash so the pictures are not the best. I think it actually looks better than the pictures show. It should look better after it is waxed.

Walnut, without a doubt. That is definitely much better than the average Brunswick- great find!

I think it's cheap gum wood and you should sell it to me. :) (Walnut, no doubt in my mind) Jerry

I saw your post as you had found it on Craigs list. Its surly walnut and a very nice one at that. In fact I was really happy for the price you were able to get it for. I went to an auction at least 15 years ago of a collection from a Texas Collector that for some reason was moved to Illinios near me. In that sale as I recall it the machine went in to the several thousand range. You got quite a deal.
