Whats the General value of a clean and working Columbia Viva-Tonal Portable? the model is 160?
I have a chnage to buy one but would like others opinions? The case is in good condition, clean, springs are good and tight. I would rebuild the reproducer and down the raod clean the springs. Comes with some records to.
Was just wondering what your opinion is?

I've seen them go in good condition up to $200. Typically a bit less than a VV-50 in similar condition, even though the sound of the Columbia is much better.

Is the 'Guest' the Seller? I bought a Columbia model 140 viva-tonal (# off the top of head, but believe its accurate...) locally last year for $45. The reproducer needs rebuilt but the motor is all good, the outer case a little ragged, corners well worn, etc. I'd think a great condition one could be had somewhere between mine and Andreas' quote. I bought a superb one at Union a few years ago for $200. Your mileage may vary...
