What model Victor is this? Looks like an MS but the bottom molding looks wrong? It just doesn't look quite right?

Looks to me like a late Talk-O-phone base, with a Victor back bracket, crank, and horn. The horn elbow looks repro. Some decent parts, cobbled together to make a machine.

i think you've got it, i just saw this pic of a monarch special and it looked similar except the bottom moldings, i think youve hit the nail on the head with the cabinet though!

Talk-O-Phone "Clarke" with what is quite probably a reproduction cast aluminum Victor back bracket. The horn elbow is quite obviously one of the aluminum copies. The tone arm should be examined more carefully. I would suspect that it may not have the block at the rear for the tone arm pin, and instead be a Victrola arm. There is an odd reflection on top of the arm where the automatic brake mechanism might have been located.

Thanks all for the good detective work. I'm just learning about these and have the Victor book and a couple of other reference books but it sometimes just mentions that there were different cabinets used during production. I haven't seen most of these in person but hope to see some of these at Union next week. I've learned enough to know I can't afford to make alot of mistakes. Thanks again, Jan
