Note this eBay listing:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Antique-Victor- ... 3f186bb3c0
It shows an Electrola 9-55 cabinet which appears to have been fitted with a Victor Micro-Synchronous radio chassis. Now Victor offered a couple of known models of 1928-29 set so fitted, most notably the RE-154 and the RE-156, which were micro-synchronous versions of the VE 9-54 and the VE 9-56 respectively. At least one example of a VV 10-50 is known to have been built with the Micro-synchronous radio, and there are reports of a 10-70 cabinet so fitted. I've seen an Electrola Hyperion with a Radiola 18 chassis, like an elaborate version of the VE 7-26. Does anyone else know of examples of such sets?
Can someone copy the photos from the eBay listing to this thread? I think that they will be useful reference material. This is an odd variant of a rather rare set.
