You need to give me more notice!! It'd be a loooong drive, but I would have been tempted....
Steve (an even longer drive than yours would have been)
BTW- did you get your Credenza at Union?

Sorry Steve, Just got back from the trip to Union this afternoon. That's why I didn't see the listing until tonight. We had a great time. The trip to Sanfilippos was well worth the drive in its self. Still looking for a Credenza.

I would like to thank phonogal for the opportunity at such a terrific machine. I am on my way home from Union and about 275 miles from the auction so I called and left my phone number for bidding. The auction house called and before I could place a bid it opened at $3300 and when it reached $4800 I thanked them and excused myself. In truth I didn't even open my mouth! I am glad to have had the opportunity but also a bit relieved that it went for more than I could afford. (Don't tell DeeDee but I'm already occurred a bit of debt from Union purchases.) You can't get them all. Happy collecting, Jerry Blais

Sorry you couldn't get it Jerry. You just never know whats going to happen at an auction. Sometimes you can get some real buys. Hope you and Dee Dee are having a nice trip home. Jan.

It's really incredible to see that this is the second period model Victrola of this style to appear in less than a year. The machine that tomwil shows us appears to be electric, whereas this one is the crank version. My congratulations to the lucky buyer.
