Vic #2 reproducer tension

So i rebuilt the Vic 2 repro...but im puzzled as to how much tension to put on springs...is it visual...or strictly trial and error by ear?

Technically, it should be adjusted so that the needle bar is neither pushing nor pulling on the diaphragm. This is easiest to determine before the needle bar is screwed onto the mica when rebuilding.
