Hi,

Can any body help me getting photos of old record stores, old talking machine supply stores or related? I'm seeking for everything up to the 1930's. Let me know if you have something to offer, either in digital format or prints. Also, please let me know if you know somebody who offers photos like that.

Many thnaks!
Helmut

Just scanned this stereo from Sears & Roebuck with the neat title "A few Talking Machine Records", all Columbia discs.

A couple of sources are Shorpy http://www.shorpy.com/, a commercial site that charges for prints of antique photographs, and the U.S. Library of Congress' Prints & Photographs Online Catalog, which lets you download high resolution historical pictures at no cost. http://www.loc.gov/pictures/

Both are searchable by subject matter and both have some interesting phonograph related things. The LOC's collection is huge.
