Missed out on this,I know the pic is bad but gives you the idea. It was in real nice shape,very solid kinda large and all four claw feet were nice as well.I pulled one or two drawers and didnt see a name tag. It was missing all the cylinder pegs but the drawer bottoms were original. I went to 250.00 but lost my nerve and bailed. I was there to try and make money and would have had to turn it over right away since it was a cash auction.Do you guys think I bailed too early. I was sure I had it for cheap since it was late in the auction,people left and things were not even selling.Two others knew what it was,one bailed at 150.00 and I had no chance against the other guy seeing what he had dropped during the earlier part of the auction. Maybe next time I get the prize. I did a snag a home made floor model that i think was made from a Columbia outside horn machine for cheap and found it a home already as a piece of folk art so to speak.

That looks like an early Columbia tone arm. Does it have the Columbia reproducer? Is that a 12" Columbia turntable with the big trim ring? If so, there's always a bunch of people that need that trim ring. Looks like a ton of desirable parts. I'd part it out. What would others do? Jerry Blais

Hi Jerry, I will have to look and see if it is 10 or 12in,I still have not delivered it yet. I was going to part it out and brought it to the flea market for a friend to look at because I knew he needed a trim ring but he liked the whole thing as a home made project. I'm sure I sold it way too cheap as with the vtla but he will give it a good home.And when I deliver it I get to see the vtla wich he should be almost done fixin up. Yes its got the columbia reproducer the older kind with the pinch lever not set screw to hold the needle in place.

Was it the same as the picture below? If so, it is a Herzog (I don't remember the model #). I believe they will fetch in the $750-$1250 range. You probably bailed too early, but then again, cash flow can be a fickle maiden to chase

Yep Thats is it.Oh well Geuss I could have tried to go up another hundred or so and still most likely make a quick buck and have found someone a nice cabinet. BUT that means there is still tons of this stuff out there waiting to be found.
