I repaired the spring that runs the gears. Everything seem to work fine. Question. The two springs back to back are on a seperate shaft and the shaft connects to the crank. I can't figure out what they are for. They don't drive anything. They just spring back an forth and turn with the crank and nothing else. What do they do? Am I doing something wrong?

Ive got the same motor in my E-2 Grafonola. My best guess is that the winder turns these 2 springs, and the barrels or other part connects to the 3rd spring that directly connects to the motor. Ive taken some time to watch them and it seems as on spring winds down, the next one continues the action, and so on until all 3 are wound down.
