Columbia Favorite Service

Hi:
I have been touching up the Columbia Favorite I bought. I have repaire a few spots where the veneer had come loose. It looks better. Now for the "monthly service".
How do I access the motor? I would like to lubricate it. It plays nicely. The trouble is sometimes I have to touch the turn-table to get it to start. I assume that the motor and gear train should be lubricated. I see a few screws underneath the turn-table. Do I take them out to access the motor?
Thank you in advance.
