I know him and have toured his phono-museum and home a number of times. His collection is obviously amazing online and even more amazing in person. Mr. Victor is a great guy too.

It's funny you mentioned the horn.....I have asked to buy it on a number of occasions. Apparently his wife will not allow him to part with it. I don't blame her. The leather carrying case is really very cool too.

If you have questions go ahead and email him. I always find him accessible and willing to answers all my dumb questions.

PS. Mr. Victor was the source of my Auxetophone and a few other goodies in my collection.

I know him and have seen his amazing collection several times in person. I recall him buying that horn and picking it up at the Union show that year. I think it was more impressive that the leather carrying case survived rather than the horn. It reminded me of some primitive African drum. Both the horn and case were huge and in beautiful condition. he certainly knows what to collect and how to collect (and as you advance as a collector those terms make more sense than you know). Looking at the website is a wonderful step back in time and you'll always see something you recognize or wish you had.

Happy collecting
