I was reorganizing some of my cylinder records tonight and came across a box that I never noticed before.
How common are cylinder box mistakes?

It's a rare
inverted BA! Put it on eBay, quick!
I don't know - now if it were a stamp, the collectors would be all over it....

Somebody had to have gone through a lot of effort to put the lid on the bottom. Either that, or it was 4:59 on a Friday afternoon.
That one is a keeper.

Scott,
Of the thousands of cylinder boxes I have inspected, I have seen new style labels put over older style labels on Gold Molded cylinder boxes and labels put on crooked but I have never seen an upside down label.

Hi Scott;
I also have an Edison cylinder box with the label upside down, however, mine is a blue opera box. I'll take a photo of it. They are neat artifacts.

Upside down Edison cylinder carton labels must be rare, because after collecting for 45 years, I've never seen any. The most record-related errors that I have seen are wrong paper labels on Pathé vertical-cut disks.

And apparently only collectors named Scott own them!
