So, someone on my facebook was talking about how much he wanted one of these. Looks like somebody had the idea of using acoustic principals to make an ipod docking station. The video halfway down the page is rather impressive, similar to how a reproducer sounds with the horn disconnected, versus one with a horn attached.

Bob Baumbach, of "Look for the Dog" fame offers an interesting IPod horn based on the principles of the Orthophonic Victrola. I can tell you that it works very well indeed!
