Anybody used Nashville Plating?

Hi all,

I have been using a local plating firm, but their results are uneven, especially with surface prep. Sometimes they are great and sometimes not so great. I have a vague memory that somebody said that Nashville Plating was good and am thinking about trying them for some castors that need replating.

Has anybody used Nashville Plating? If so, please PM me about your experience.

Clay,

I know JohnM mentioned them as being a good place in Mattrx's post about weather his VTLA was worth fixing. Hope that helps.

Nashville Plating specializes in banjo parts plating, so they are competent platers for either soft or bright gold historical finishes. Be advised that the cost of gold plating is at an all-time high, so put your rubber underwear on before you look at a quote from any plater!

Fortunately for the Edison C150 I am working on now it is just nickel. Some day I will get the courage to ask about some gold work I'd like to get done on my VV-XVI, but that is off down the pike.
