I have added a picture of what I have and more importantly what is missing.
I would really really like to complete this machine.
The person I bought it off about 4 years ago had it sitting in the same place as when I saw it 30 years before that and he was still hoping to find the missing parts.
I thought I would be in a far better position (as he didn't use the internet) to find them so please someone help me!.
Many thanks
Tony

Have you considered making these parts, or
having them made?

A good working set of these parts could
perhaps be borrowed for the purpose of
measuring them, and making a set of
engineering drawings of them.

Then, those drawings can be used to make the
parts, or taken to someone who can make them.

After that many years of looking, without
success, I'd be thinking along the lines of
making these parts.

Just a suggestion.

Chuck, Thanks
I am very thrilled to say that I have just bought the parts needed for the Columbia BC machine from another forum member. It will be such a thrill to bring this machine back to life. Although I have paid the price that the member asked I still feel that I owe him a big favour and I will make a point of paying him back in some way. When I bought the machine I was a member of the UK forum which was really good for us New Zealanders and Australians because most of our machines were English. So I thought with these contacts and my American friends I would easily find the missing parts. Well I have but it has been a mission. I have made contact with people around the world.
I can only say thanks and it also makes me realise that I should sell some of my spare parts if it is going to help someone bring a machine back to life. This forum is so helpful having the Yankee Trader section to help source parts. For us over this side of the world (New Zealand) we just don’t have access to any spare parts.
Many thanks it is a privilege to be a member of this forum.
The Internet can make the world a very small place!
All the best
Tony
