I've seen (not mine) one conversion from a Standard to a New Standard in an oxidized finish and the weight was the done in the same fashion. I suppose if the owner sent it in to be upgraded, the factory would comply. Interesting that they would convert a common nickel Reproducer rather than a simple exchange plus $$$.Valecnik wrote: Mine is nickel. I've never seen an oxidised Edisonic or Dance at all. Did the converted oxidized Edisonic have also an oxidised weight then? Odd since the only machine on which it would be correct would be the A150.
Interesting about the dance is that they expected you to change from standard to dance and back, depending on the type of record you were playing. This is mentioned in the piece of dance literature I posted in this thread.

Re: Edison A150 cabinet
Well, all I can say, is sorry. I never got an e mail on these replies. Sorry. I have been enjoying the machine now for awhile. I'll look for the correct reproducer, but, the Edisonic works very well.
The standard reproducer from my Wm. and, Mary works well, but, is a little weaker. No surprise.
All, in all, I'm glad I was able to save this machine after all these years.
Cabinet is now solid, and, looks much better. Machine plays well, in spite of weaker main spring.
Thanks, guys, fro your help on this.

Guys, sorry I haven't been here a long time. I've had some bad health issues. Just wanted to let you know I now have an original correct grill for the machine. Been working on improving the finish as well. Machine plays very well.
