just picked up an RCA built portable, is there a way to date this machine? thanks

I do not know if the RCA-badged portables were actually made by Victor, or if they were sourced from another maker, such as Birch.

Early RCA Victor portables were built in Camden, but the machines made after 1933 or 1934 (those which did not use the RCA Victor branded Orthophonic Reproducer) were made by outside contractors.
