FOR SALE: COLUMBIA BABY REGENT - $445

Post by Rexophone »

This is one of the earlier inside horn Columbias; the smallest of the Regent series. Mechanically it is complete and original. The previous owner had begun some cabinet restoration. The three-spring motor has not been rebuilt, but after an oiling it runs very quietly and plays records just fine. I also have the metal cover that covers the bottom of the motor (see picture). One of the legs is missing the claw (that part of the wood came unglued and was lost). The veneer on the top has some chips missing at the edge as well as a veneer patch. The top also has a bulge in the middle where the veneer has become unglued. One of the wooden louvers is new. The previous owner had begun some restoration by putting in a new drawer support under the phono (visible in one of the pictures).

Contact me if you have any questions or would like to see additional pictures (the forum software only allowed 10 attachments). The phonograph is located in the Dallas, Texas area.

Wish it was closer to NC...

Someone pointed out that I can add additional photos by responding to my own post. Here are pictures of the damaged leg and veneer issues.
