WANTED: Victor RE-45 Legs - FOUND

Post by HisMastersVoice »

Found a beautiful RE-45 today, the only flaw being that someone sawed the legs in half long ago and I'd like to find a decent set of legs to put on it. If you have a junk cabinet with good legs, let me know!

It looks to be in fantastic condition.
Is this a 1929 or a 1930 model?

The Victor R-32, R-52, RE-45, and RE-75 are all 1929 models. They all use the same micro-synchronous tuners and power amp chassis and are the only models to use the unique and exceptionally good speaker that they have. The 1930 models have different model numbers and have different chassis and speakers. No other Victor or RCA in this era sounds as good as the 1929 models.

Brandon,
I went down to Home Depot and purchased some that were already turned for my RE-45 project. They are not an exact match, but only a close inspection by a knowledgeable collector would be able to tell. Another nice part is that now the cabinet sits about an 1" to 1.5" higher. Give me a call or message and I can tell you what I did. How are the electronics?
