FOR SALE: Victor I with hard to find Horn -SOLD

Post by Shawn »

If you've been looking for a nice Victor I, this is the machine for you. It is all original and pretty darn nice. As well, it has the harder to find Victor Black flowered horn. This little machine is straight, and not been messed with. The nickel plating is strong. It has a wonderful rebuilt Exhibition reproducer with the accessory dust brush. It plays strongly through several records. All parts are original and correct to this machine. The pen-striping is strong on the back bracket.

This is one nice little Victor I. It is virtually a no apology machine, just the way I like to have them. Lots more pictures available on request.

The price is SOLD plus shipping only to you. No PayPal on this, checks are fine.

Please contact me with interest at: [email protected]

Thank you

I've seen horns like this on victor 1s, but usually with an adapter. Is this a morning glory made for the victor 1, or did they use a larger elbow?

This horn is correct for this Victor I. This horn fits in the small elbow. It is 17" in diameter. This was the No. 17 horn.Sometimes you will see this horn on a rear mount Victor E. In 1909, when Victor came out with the larger case Victor I, the tone arm, bracket and elbow from the Victor II was used. The later horn was also 17" and called the No. 17. The fitting was larger to accommodate the Victor II elbow. Both of these 17" horns are very tough to find in decent condition.

Hi

I have a Victor 1 with the exact same horn, the horn is in beautiful original condition, as is the back bracket. I didn't know this horn was so rare, that is good to hear.

Regards Marcel

Hi Marcel, Nice machine. Your horn is for the later Victor 1 with the larger elbow.
