Gem question

Hi folks

I'm just wondering if someone might be able to tell me if
Gem lids (for crank machines) are interchangeable, i.e., if an
earlier Gem lid will fit, say, a maroon model D?

I have George Frow's "Companion", though I'm still unsure.

Apologies, I think I've answered my own question, thanks to Mr Frow.
p147, it says the cabinet was a little longer than earlier cabinets..

No, the earlier crank Gem lids will not fit on the D/E models.
