A Crapophone with a vertical cut adaptor - since the tracking angle isn't as important with vertical cut machines this might play decently...though the sound is obviously off a CD.

The Edison script decals on the case and soundbox do catch the eye.
And then there's that tapered tone arm...

Scrolling down the youtube comments, our own Lucius1958 calls-out the Frankenphone, but another responder ( not the originator of the video ) replied, identifying the machine as a Teens vintage Pathé machine...
But then, why the Edison decals ?
Why be an ersatz Edison when you're already a proper Pathé` ?

I forgot I had called it out before…. I was about to have a nerdgasm over the title before I saw the fine print...De Soto Frank wrote:Scrolling down the youtube comments, our own Lucius1958 calls-out the Frankenphone, but another responder ( not the originator of the video ) replied, identifying the machine as a Teens vintage Pathé machine...![]()

One detail: I don't believe Pathéphones ever used goosenecks - so Frankenphone is the correct term.

That is NOT like any Pathéphone that I have ever seen. The reproducer isn't Pathé; neither is the tonearm. The reproducer also should not tilt back. Pathé speed controls are located on the right side of the cabinet, not on top. Starting controls are located on the front of the cabinet, not on top.
