New Record Cabinet / Stand Found
Just found a nice stand on CL here a few days ago. Love the look of it and have decided to use it for our new #205. Not exactly a great match. However, at least it fits...
. The stand has a great scribing angel celluloid medallion.Seems to be British...??.

It's the matching stand for the Melba Gramophone

A really fantastic find and, I expect, worth a great deal. They have to be rare!
Now all you need is the Melba.

The stand could not have come at a better time. The 205 is a monster and I needed something to put it on.
Thank goodness it fits on this stand.
Here is a interior shot that was asked for.

It has been without question one of the best years finding items "in the wild" I have ever had. However, I'm running out of room and hope things slow down to some degree.....Garret wrote:Wow. Thanks for the links James. The last one in Paris shows the machine & stand with a all brass 24" horn. OK, I have a spare horn like this. So, all I need now is the Melba and I'm good to go.

The way your amazing luck is going you will find a Melba sitting in a local flee market.
I'm afraid you will need more than luck after that as divorce lawyers are expensive.
Just remember compromise is the key word in any relationship. I recently acquired a beautiful Vic 6 with a mahogany horn. My wife prefers golden oak so to compromise the Vic is sitting on an oak end table. No big beautiful mahogany cabinets in our living area - to the basement with my mahogany.
