Great news indeed Larry. Btw I finally got a DD reproducer with one of your diaphragms. Sounds just great. I'm very happy with it. Only problem is I also installed a ticking time bomb, an expert stylus because there were no other options and i needed something. That will now be replaced first time I see a mark!

Larry,
I can't wait to see when these styli are available. If these are close to original specs and sound as good as you say they will be, I will be very impressed. Having anything replicated like the original in both form and function is a real challenge, much less a precision part like a stylus.

I visited the brucediamond.com website out of curiosity. They look like a company able to do serious work. Kudos to Medved and Ron H for finding such a company able and willing to handle small orders. Seeing pictures of their diamond scribes, it seems it should be child's play for them to make diamond phonograph needles. Very exciting news indeed.
Update: I found this text on their website - "We offer every type of single point tool; natural, faceted, chisel, cone and phono points."

Larry this is excellent news to hear! I have used your standard diaphragm for well over a year now with a older Expert stylus. I have felt that the problems you were having had more to do with worn out stylus than the diaphragm. Now it looks as if I can now get all three of my Diamond Disc phonographs good diamonds.

I have a Bruce Diamond on my Amberola 30 Diamond C reproducer. With Larry H's diaphragm, it sounds amazing. Lound, clear, and strong! I will also be testing the DD diamonds to and will report as soon as I get them.
Yes, they are quite distinctive.larryh wrote:Vintage Technologies

I'm glad that you can keep up your good work now that you have a usable reproducer!

Would it be possible for one of the lucky few beta testers to post a picture of the new DD stylus mounted in the stylus bar? I would love to see some detail.

My ipod camera may do the trick. I'll see what I can do when they arrive.tubaphone wrote:Would it be possible for one of the lucky few beta testers to post a picture of the new DD stylus mounted in the stylus bar? I would love to see some detail.

I tired to set my camera for a close up but like computers, I get lost in all the choices. I doubt this photo will show what you want but until someone can do a better job I will add this.
