A big thanks to everyone for the comments and insight! I really appreciate it. My buddy wants to convert it into a liquor cabinet but I think someone will appreciate it for what it is. I'll try to find that person.

I surely hope you don't destroy it. :o

Its historical importance is so much more important. I'm sure that your buddy can find another gutted cabinet for his project, they turn up on craigslist all the time.
