The crazy thing is that over the years, the price has actually gone up!!! My guess is this guy paid far more than it was worth, thinking anything with Nipper must be worth a fortune, and rather than take it on the chin and take a loss, he's hoping someone else will make the same mistake he did. After at least 4 years of getting emails telling him that if his machine was in perfect condition (and his is nowhere near that) he would get around $300, and seeing probaly a couple hundered VV-50s in far better condition than his fetch no more than $300, the guy has to know he's hoping for someone to make a novice's mistake to realize the price he's asking for.
