When they rolled off the factory floor, Edison Amberola 30's had beautiful burnt orange silk grill cloth. Today, many of these machines have grill cloths that are terribly tattered beyond presentation, or missing! I have been fortunate to obtain a limited supply of a match to the original silk grill cloth. If you have an Amberola 30 with a missing or otherwise destroyed grill cloth, here is your opportunity to replace it.
Other Edison machines may well use this color of cloth as well. I have a small number of cloths cut for use in an Amberola 30, with a small amount of uncut silk. The attached picture shows the color of the fabric. Once slightly stretched and glued on a grill, it is beautifully smooth, and an exact match to the original.
A quantity of cloth appropriate for an Amberola 30 is $5.00 each, shipped anywhere in the contiguous US states. Please inquire for other sizes. There is a limited supply.
Please contact [email protected] with interest.
Thank you
Shawn

I never knew this. I always thought these grill cloths were tan in color. Wouldn't the orange clash with the oak case? Does anyone have an Amberola 30 pictured with the original grill cloth intact?

Here you go Harvey. This early decorated Amberola 30 looks like it was kept in a crate all its life.
I've had a B-60 and an Amberola IV, both with the light brown cloth. I've had other 30's with the burnt orange cloth. I suspect both were used over time.

What color cloth was used in the Edison B-19 Chalet? Was this cloth used in it?
