Record sleeves

I have found many sources of 10" cardboard sleeves for 78 rpm. But I can't seem to find a source for 12" 78 rpm cardboard or paper sleeves. What do you all use for new sleeves for both 10" and 12" rpm? Also how do you store and organize your disc collections. Vinyl Lps are easier to store and sort but 78's are not as easy.

Bags Unlimited sells great sleeves, in fact I have 1000 coming today. If you want 12 inch sleeves for 78s, Bags Unlimited doesn't have them specifically listed as such, but they DO have 12 inch heavy duty white sleeves in their LP section that work just fine for holding most 78s. I say most because earlier Victor Grand Prize (and some patent presseings) and Columbia Banner (Tri Color) discs are slightly larger and won't fit but a hair. Still, they're great for everything else, but I recommend getting the heavy duty ones for 78s. Kurt's sleeves are also great, but I reserve using those for "special" records.

I use sleeves from Bags Unlimited--by far the best price.

I then buy these boxes from Uline:
S-650 11.75 X 10.75 X 2.25 WHITE LIT MLR

These cartons are discounted and cost about 50-cents each. They hold about 30 ten-inch records, lay flat and open along one of the large faces for easy viewing of the entire record. The cartons are very sturdy and are white, looking good on an open shelf, also easy to label. They are large enough to get my fingers around the records to remove them. I also print out a sheet from my data base listing all the records in each carton. I originally intended to paste the sheet on the outside but find it much neater and easier to read, notate, and handle if I just leave it on top of the records in the carton.

The problem I have with these Disc-O-File sleeves is that at least 10% of the sleeves is folder and glued incorrectly, so at the back it's all askew and wrinkly. Also, the prices have been increased.

Same here Sean, on both counts.

Kurt's "Disc-O-File" sleeves are really excellent, but I reserve them for special records as they are a bit higher. I also use them for my Diamond Discs, as they fit them well. And as someone mentioned, he has sleeves for just about any size record.

How many of you then keep original sleeves even when you store your records in new sleeves. How do you keep your old sleeves? Is there a baseline you use as to which sleeves you keep?
