The title sounds like a Vaudeville act of old....

. As promised to the forum....here is a family reunion you won't see everyday. I hope you all enjoy the pics.
Now a little info on the 205 that is rather interesting. You may have noticed the front beveled glass has acid etched "TOKO VANDERWEIDE TEGAL". Well, Tegal is a major city in what is now Indonesia. "TOKO" is Indonesian for "shop" or "store". So, although this bit is still speculation.....the Dutch surname "Vanderweide" may have been a Dutch "Phonogragh" merchant in Indonesia. Then, when the family returned back to Holland.....they had the machine brought as well.
There is going to be a very interesting story we are yet to uncover, but we will.

Thanks Harvey. Well, I did the first engine run and it fired right up. I need to do some adjustments, but nothing too bad.

I guess back in the 1930's the family "up graded" to a Thorens Orthophonic type reproducer. I have now replaced this with a proper Maestrophone reproducer. This Thorens looks cheap.

I hate to rehash a thread that is way down on topic now. However, I have been asked (a few times) to post a few better "side by side" pics without horns. Since these monsters are so darn heavy.....I finally got around to this over the weekend.

*Note* The straight arm comes with both lateral & vertical attachments.

So without further delay......here are the "side by sides".
