Anyone got a spare knob for an Edison A250 record compartment door? Or a picture of one so I'll know what to look for?

Probably yes. The knob on my Amberola 1A (nearly identical cabinet style) is just a plain gold knob.

Click on the first picture on this link to blow it up and see a pretty good pic of the knob.

Looks like your crank is not original to the machine too. That should not be difficult to find.
