FOR SALE: Zonophone “Home” with “Cincinnati Talking Machine Co.,” Dealer Tag! INQUIRE

This is the first Zonophone that I ever purchased. I bought it from an antique dealer at an antique show on the state fairgrounds in Milwaukee. This was the early ‘90’s. The dealer said that he has a “Cincinnatti Talking Machine.” Puzzled, I told him I had never heard of that, but would love to take a look! We had to wait until after the show, but eventually met him at his house. I soon found out that this was a Zonophone with a dealer tag from the “Cincinnati Talking Machine Co., 1230 Vine Street, Cincinnati, O.”

This machine is 100% original. It shows the age of a machine that is now 111 years old! It was released in October of 1903. The case and finish are in good shape. The back decal is very clean. The “Home” decal is under the metal dealer tag on the front of the machine. Of course it is pristine, because it has been covered for more than 100 years! The nickel on the Concert-V reproducer is wanting, but this is the part of the machine that would have been touched the most. As far as Zonophones go, a Home model is relatively common, but the dealer tag makes this machine unique!

I have quite a few photographs which I can put into a zip file and e-mail to serious parties. I bought something, so now I have to sell some things to make up for it! This is the first of three Zonophones that I will have available.

So…, if you are from Ohio, especially Cincinnati, this machine is for you! If you have been waiting for just that right machine to start your Zonophone collection, this is it! Ask any collector of Zonophones how hard it is to find a machine these days that is all original!
