Is this a phono-related Cabinet.

Post by Phototone »

Found this cabinet (but didn't buy it) at a flea market. It looked like it might be phono related. Appears to have a front that would open like a door (if it still had hardware), has a hole in the right side (like for a wind-up crank), and has brackets on the inside to hold a shelf below the level of the (supposed)crank-hole.

Anybody have a clue? If it is phono related, I could give you information as to where to go get it (in Arkansas).

My guess is an arcade peep show device, like this one- a coin operated stereoscope: http://www.icollector.com/10-Cent-Caill ... _i16154164

These two viewers are even more similar- when you dropped a coin you saw a series of views- some machines were stereoscopic, some were not.
