Victor D speed control

Post by Phono-Phan »

I was fortunate enough at the auction of Larry Schlick's collection to bring home a nice Victor D with the black paper Mache' horn. One unique thing on this Victor D is the speed control. Has anyone seen this before or knows the maker? The Patent date is 12-19-05.

I couldn't find this at first, so I checked The Talking Machine World. There it was, on page 33 of the January 1906 issue. With the number, the rest was easy... :)

George,
Thanks for your information on this. In over 30 years of collecting, this is the only one I have ever seen.
