Re: Phonospace (or, "Where's Waldo?)
I thought I would add a few additional pictures of the Cameraphone to provide some color to George's excellent brief on how it works...

Impressive, Anil, thank you! What a complicated arrangement, it's no wonder why it wasn't practical. I'll bet it was astounding if the engineers had gotten it right even just once.

Re: Phonospace (or, "Where's Waldo?)
As long as this old but ongoing thread has again been revived (linked back from here] I figure it's about time I participate.
I wish I had a space to display my collection as beautifully as George, but lacking that I simply have them around the house, largely organized by size rather than more logical considerations (with a few exceptions).
All of the tinfoils shown in this post are original, excepting two on the shelf above the Standard Polyphone (a Kruesi and a top mount Parlor).

A few more.
On the mantle in the first picture there's an original Edison Parlor Model tinfoil on the left, and a Stollwerck chocolate phonograph on the right, bookended by an Edison Manhattan and Victor Auxetophone.
The last two pictures show replica tinfoils, including the gorgeous solid brass Bergmann made by Bill Ptacek.

Rene,
I read about the brass Bergmann Exhibition tinfoil phonograph on your website and it's absolutely incredible! Bill Ptacek's reproductions were superior.

This is a video of my small collection of antique phonographs. It's not much, but I like them.

I'm saving these stunning pictures to prove to wife and kids that "I an NOT a collector"
Not only are the phonographs themselves beautiful, they are very tastefully displayed.
Thank you.

I'm late to the party, but I must join in Rene. Beautiful collection!
