EDISON CONCERT

Post by ambrola »

received my Concert yesterday in great shape. It did have the D reproducer. Did the Concerts have a shaver? Looks like there's a place for one.

The shaver appears to be the same or very similar to shavers on early Homes. Jerry

Thanks Jerry. I like my machines to have all the bells and whistles.

Hi Amberola,
Your Concert machine looks great!! You will need to find the shaver. Fortunately it is one of the easier parts to find. Jerry is correct, it is the same shaver used on the Edison Home. I am posting a few pictures of my Concert with a close up of the shaver.

Looks great and looks like they shipped it in one piece...

Great purchase, especially with the Model-D reproducer. Sure would be nice to have a Concert Model-B next to it.

Very nice machine!!!! I love the 1899-1900 Edison Concert.

I wish I could find a pulley and mandrel for my AG Graphophone.

I've tried to talk you out of yours, but no luck?

Small point, but check the thread of the shaver adjusting screw. While they look the same superficially, on my 'drawer' Concert it is different from that on my Triumph A. I fitted a shaver on the Concert but finding the right screw was quite a trial!
