FOR SALE: Edison Dolphin Phonograph Key - $75

Post by Victrola-nut »

Complete your Edison machine display by adding the key that came with your phonograph. Called the "Dolphin Key", due to the two dolphin heads that join at the top. Asking $75 and can be delivered to the Wayne, NJ show next month. Please respond with "SOLD" and e-mail me at [email protected] and we'll take it from there.

Thanks,

Ray

I bought a key just like the one you show but it didn't fit my Edison. I was later told dolphin keys were very common for furniture back then, and I probably bought a furniture key. So my question is have you actually tried this on an Edison DD machine, and if so, what model? Thanks.

Good question and I wish I knew the answer. I do not have any of the large amberolas, so I have not had the opportunity to try this one. I base my assertion that it will fit an Edison by the shape of the business end of the key, which is similar to other phonograph keys that I have. I welcome anyone reading this ad to help answer this question. By the way, I have two others and all of them have a nearly identical configuration.
