Here are a couple of items that might help you restore your machine.
First is a complete arm and reproducer from an unknown machine. The reproducer sounds tight when you thump it. The arm looks to be substantially complete. A nice piece
Second is a gold Ultraphonic reproducer. This one has every possibility of being really loud. It looks complete save the thumb screw. A nice piece.
The price is $35.00 for the pair plus shipping to you. This can be delivered for free to the Wayne NJ show.
No PayPal on this, checks are fine.

What's the length of the tonearm from base to reproducer? And is the diaphragm good in the golden reproducer?

The diaphragm is really good on the gold Ultraphonic reproducer.
The length on the tone arm is hard to measure, as the reproducer slides in an out on a sleeve in the tone arm making it very adjustable. Not extended at all, it is about 10 inches from the bottom of the back of the base in a direct line to the needle.
